I call this the Kumihimo 6/0 Blended Beaded Necklace. This is one of my earliest kits dating back to 2011. To achieve the blended pattern, the beads are strung in a particular sequence of colored/patterned sections. The necklace, as pictured, is designed with 5 sections of patterns that start with one color and gradually blend into a second color until the second color is the only color. The finished length of the beaded portion is between 16″ and 17″ depending on the beads and the braider. The necklace starts and ends with braided section of C-Lon Tex 400. Depending on where you trim and cut the C-Lon ends will determine the overall finished length of your necklace. More braid showing on either side of the beaded section will make a longer necklace. You will need: Kumihimo Disk, 8 bobbins, tape measure, scissors, heavy-duty thread & needle, Glue (I like WeldBond). You should know: Kumihimo Round Braid (Kongoh Gumi) and how to “drop” beads (if you aren’t sure how to “drop beads” see Kumihimo Tip #14).  While the instructions are written for a disk, they are easily adaptable to the Marudai.
